DIY Lavender Body Scrub

This is one of my ultimate favorite DIY scrubs! I tend to prefer using sea salt or Himalayan salt for my scrubs. However, there is something about the sweetness of brown sugar that my skin completely adores. The smell of lavender combines flawlessly with the brown sugar, it is utterly perfect. Vitamin E is a nutrient to the skin; it provides antioxidants and helps keep your skin feeling and looking youthful. Coconut Oil is an all-time favorite for all of us. It’s an excellent antibacterial and antioxidant for our skin, as well as an amazing moisturizer. The Aloe Vera oil capsules used in this scrub are perfect for keeping your skin healthy. Although, it is not pure Aloe Vera (it’s a mixture of Aloe plant and a fatty oil), it still provides the same benefits and properties as the plant itself. Aloe Vera (one of my favorite plants in this world) is anti-inflammatory, antibacterial, anti-fungal, and antioxidant. It can also help with maintaining your skin firm and youthful, by reducing the appearance of fine lines, stretch marks, etc. And of course, for a scent that stays on your skin and lightens the mood, Lavender oil. You can use a different type of essential oil of your choice for the scrub too; I personally use Lavender, simply because I love Lavender. Lavender oil also has anti-fungal and antiseptic properties, and is used to treat many skin disorders, such as eczema. However, its skin benefits aren’t the only reason why Lavender is in my “Must use” list. Lavender helps induce sleep and reduce anxiety, and as a light sleeper and dealing with unavoidable stressful days, using lavender in my scrub before I head to bed, is a blessing!
